Mahlon was born on January 3rd, 1788.  Mahlon's father was John Barlow and her mother was Phoebe Bolton.  Her paternal grandparents were John Barlow and Hannah Savage.  She had four brothers and two sisters, named John, Abner, Nathan, Joel, Rebecca and Phoebe.  She was the oldest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 21 on April 18th, 1809.
